Spider-Man vs. Hulk in Brand New Day
July 15, 2026

So I'm sitting here, maximum effort on a chimichanga, and the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer drops with Tom Holland and Zendaya live from Amsterdam like it's no big deal. Except it IS a big deal, because our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is about to fight the actual Incredible Hulk. Let me react in real time. Grab a snack.
Spider-Man vs. Hulk: the tale of the tape
On paper this is a kid in pajamas versus a walking earthquake with rage issues. On SCREEN? Spider-Man's whole thing is being faster, smarter, and more annoying than everybody in the room — I say that with love and professional respect. If Peter can't out-muscle the big guy (he can't), he'll out-THINK him. My money's on webbing plus sarcasm. It's a proven formula. I'd know.

The invisible villain no one can see in Brand New Day
Here's the part that gave ME goosebumps, and I don't have working nerve endings. The main villain reportedly doesn't show up in person — it works through other people's minds, and something inside Peter starts to change in a way he can't control. A hero fighting his OWN head while an invisible puppetmaster pulls the strings? That's not an action movie, that's a horror movie with better lighting. I'm obsessed.
Is Sadie Sink playing Jean Grey? The X-Men tease
Rumor says Sadie Sink could be Jean Grey. If the movie is really planting X-Men seeds in Peter's backyard, the whole universe just got a lot more interesting — and a lot more MUTANT. As someone who hangs out with a very stabby Canadian, I approve of more X-gene energy. Bring it.

The Brand New Day detail I can't shut up about
They shot this thing in TWO native aspect ratios — a flatter one and a wide scope one — a first for a Spider-Man movie. Translation: somebody in that camera department cares WAY too much, and I respect the obsession. See it big. See it loud. See it on the biggest screen your city has.
Deadpool's official prediction
I'm calling it: Spider-Man takes an absolute beating, cracks three jokes mid-air, learns something emotionally devastating about himself, and wins with 4% health left. It's the Parker Special. And I'll be first in line July 31 to watch it, probably fully suited, definitely eating nachos in the theater. Come say hi.
